We suspect there is wide agreement that no one should experience the stress of a bed bug infestation during the busy, already stressful holiday season. This news caught our eye recently: Ohio's Stryker Pest Control has teamed up with Reed’s Pest Control to bring free bed bug relief to families in need this holiday season. More details on their Facebook page and in the following news article. Kudos to these two companies for this generous program!

It's not often that housing developers turn into product designers but that's what happened at Central City Concern in 2009 as it looked for bed bug resistant furnishings for a new building. Lifeworks Northwest Purchases 76 Bed Frames and Mattresses

Lifeworks Northwest's Project Network, a 36-bed drug and alcohol treatment center for women with children, opened in July 2014. The building’s west wing holds the Beech Street Apartments, a 32-unit clean and sober affordable housing facility operated by Home Forward where patients and their children can transition after treatment.

The building includes a child development center, playgrounds, community room, and therapy, medical and office space. The project was designed by Holst Architecture, and Gerding Edlen served as the developer.
